Going into the weekend “experts” estimated Apple would sell 500,000 iPhone 3GS units.

Apple today announced that it has sold over one million iPhone 3GS models through Sunday, June 21, the third day after its launch.

Can you be off by that much and still be a “expert”?

We ran into a friend Friday night who mentioned that she bought an iPhone Thursday (she took advantage of the 3G for $99). I wonder what those numbers have been as that is a great deal.
