Just one of those odd things you stumble upon on the streets of LA. When I found it I could only think of this line: “There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them.”

Friday from the Photo Archives - the late Coco Robicheaux from Jazz Fest 2002. Damn, I miss Jazz Fest.
Geek humor - was looking for a graphing site for color temperature and somehow ended up here. Not a bad address, but not as warm as 3200 Kelvin.
Dinner last night - I like this photo
This is for those of you who are concerned that I am in Las Vegas and have not posted a single margarita photo.

One last photo (this is a test to try ifttt.com as a fix for photos not showing up where I want them on Facebook.)
Another photo from the wedding we went to this weekend.

One of my favorite photos from a wedding this weekend.
When I got a new camera one feature I had not expected to care much about was having two card slots, one a Compact Flash card, the other an SD slot. So far I have used in two ways that are pretty cool.
1) One mode available is to shoot raw to CF card and reduced sized jpegs to SD. This lets you easily use the iPad camera kit to load the smaller sizes jpegs from the SD card to the iPad for quick pass around sharing or looking at shots to see bigger than on the rear of camera.
2) You can install an Eye-Fi SD card which also includes wifi capabilities on the card (how they do that I do not know). If you are on a known wifi network or have an iPad/iPhone or any hotspot creating device you can then upload photos as they are shot. Imagine an event where photos are appearing on a screen as it goes. I prefer to be more selective and they have a mode where only photos set to protected get uploaded. The 5DmkIII even has menus to control and monitor the Eye-Fi card.
