Where's the Soundtrack for our Outrage?
At the gym this morning I listened to Richie Havens doing All Along the Watchtower and I was reminded how many great protest songs we had years ago. Why has an anthem for these times not emerged? Where is the musical outrage?
In Treme John Goodman’s character is shown uploading Katrina response outrage videos to YouTube. 48 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute (!) yet...
Backup, then Backup again
Time for my semi-regular reminder that all hard drives will fail, it’s just a matter of when. I know two people in the last week that have hard drive failures. One after years of use, one on a new computer. If you do already have a backup plan, check it. We tend to set these things up and then ignore them and when crisis hits find a power cord or firewire cable had fallen out.
