Bring on the weekend - have your own beer summit
The president tried to turn a racial incident into a conversation and a chance to smooth over some comments he made after it. I found it comical how much the media made of it, especially the politicians chiming in about the beer choices. Some of my favorite comments were by Stephen Colbert who said “Nothing says unity like three men sitting down together and insisting on three different...

Well, maybe not an iPhone app but Slate asks: How do you reconstruct documents after they’ve been passed through a shredder?
If you have been following the “birthers” and how they not only keep creeping into the media but also keep receiving tacit support from some politicians, this story will not surprise you. Rachel Maddow looks at similar tactics being used to disrupt progress on health care by using confusion and fear.
Much ado about nothing - again →
There was a story all over the news about a woman being sued by Horizon Realty in Chicago because she tweeted about mold in her apartment. The story did not smell right because she had 20 followers and it got the gloss over treatment from every new report I saw on it. Sure enough the tweet was discovered in the course of an existing lawsuit… the link has the story.

This weekend I saw the Wedding Dancers on the Today show recreating the whole thing, this is the video. Also it seems that appearance was part of an NBC/ABC battle to get them with ABC flying them to NY and then canceling their return flights and rooms after learning of the NBC appearance - that story is here.
There was some poll recently that said Jon Stewart is the most trusted man in America. I don’t think those polls are valid but the reason so many like Jon is that he is unable to hear BS and not call you on it, either to your face or using your own face. Here is a :23 clip of Sarah Palin playing both sides of an issue in the same speech.
Great piece from Rachel Maddow on health care - make sure you see the section on the Lewin Group… classic.
