News Madness
The stories that were on every newscast in the last few days… a 70 year old japanese porn star, a 44 pound cat and a Cheeto that looks like jesus (or a telephone pole, if you ask me). Good thing there are not troops in two conflicts, a economy in crisis and gas prices at all time highs. At least they had the earthquake to fill the rest of the time without doing any actual reporting.

– Mark Kriski on KTLA morning news trying to ask a representative from the Neon Museum about a piece of neon in his bedroom that hums and keeps him awake.
Visuals out of sync with Sound
A bar in Hermosa beach is set to re-open two years after being destroyed by a fire. On the news this morning they interviewed the owner about changes he has made in the redesign to address community noise complaints. The interview took place in front of a row of shiny frozen daiquiri machines… which we all know leads to quiet and peaceful behavior.
15 minutes of infamy
Recently a reporter from KTLA got called a jackass on live TV buy asking someone in line for an iPhone when the last time he saw a woman naked was. He was having fun, being playful but took it too far and fortunately the guy in line called him on it. He is a good reporter, I have seen him for years, he is one of my favotites. It points out just how hard it is to do live media, any media for that...

Wow, amazing iPhone application - Midomi
Jenn was watching “So You Think you can Dance” while I was checking out iPhone Aps. I decided to test Midomi - a free ap that said it could identify songs from a clip. I held the iPhone up from the couch, chose “Grab” and it told me to tap to start recording, then to stop. Seconds later it found the first song. We were amazed.
We did it on the next song and the next, and...
