No visual effects to speak of but how could I not love a movie about the birth of Chess Records. Travel: In 2008 we went to Sundance Film Festival in Utah, Cancun, Chicago, New Orleans and Australia and...

TUAW has a great story about a guy who had his iPhone stolen, the thief started entering his friends names into the phone, which synced to Mobile Me and showed up on the original owner’s new phone. He called the thief’s friends and got his name and # and the police got the phone back.

Liz: Hey, you don't know the Postmaster General do you?
Jack: I do, but we had a falling out over the Jerry Garcia stamp. I mean if I wanted to lick a hippy, I'd just return Joan Baez's phone calls.

Retro TV programming
NBC schedule soon is Jay Leno at 10pm, Conan at 11:30pm, followed by Jimmy Fallon and then Carson Daly. Leading up to is like 6 hours of the Today show and then on local NBC we have talk shows by Bonnie Hunt, Martha Stewart and Ellen DeGeneres.   Reminds me of the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s at WLWT in Cincinnati where they had Morning News, 90 minute live Paul Dixon Show, midday...

Tribune and the economy
NewsBlues says about the Tribune Company filing: Essentially, the former employees who voluntarily took buyouts have now become creditors who will have to get in line in bankruptcy court. And, because their debt is unsecured, they will go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to the back of the line. Same thing for freelancers who are owed money for past work. All payments have been stopped.
